Many of our guests at the Engelwirt have already noticed the powerful oil paintings by Anna Leonhardt, an artist based in Berlin and New York.
In parallel with her solo exhibition “Liebesbilder” at ZINK in Waldkirchen, we are also showing a selection of new paintings at the Engelwirt, in which Leonhardt precisely harmonizes color contrasts, dynamism, and materiality. Through the interplay of spontaneous composition and clear pictorial structure, concentrated compositions emerge with palpable tension and depth.
