With Chambre d'Amis, we at the Engelwirt Hotel & Apartments, in collaboration with Galerie ZINK Waldkirchen, have launched a new residency program. Inspired by a classic artist-in-residence program, we invite selected artists to live and work at the Engelwirt for one month. The hotel’s unique atmosphere provides space for concentration, exchange, and new inspiration—while also fostering encounters between art, architecture, and hospitality.

French painter Gregory Forstner kicked off the program in May. In November, we welcome painter Anna Leonhardt as the second artist participating in Chambre d’Amis. In her work, she combines painting with elements of drawing and installation, developing poetic visual worlds where observations of nature, memory, and imagination converge. During her stay, Anna Leonhardt will use the Engelwirt as a temporary studio and further develop her artistic work amid the house’s unique atmosphere. For one month, the Engelwirt will thus become a place where the creative process and hospitality come together directly.
