When literature comes to life, all it takes is a good voice and a special place. We are delighted to once again welcome actress and narrator Katja Amberger to the Engelwirt. In her captivating reading, she will focus on the latest short stories by T.C. Boyle, one of the most significant contemporary American authors.

With a keen sense of language and atmosphere, Katja Amberger brings a special presence to Boyle’s stories, which are as clever as they are humorous, surprising, and at times unsettling. Boyle’s new collection of short stories will be published in July 2026 under the title *The End Is Just the Beginning* and brings together twelve new stories about the abysses, contradictions, and peculiarities of our present day.
