Berunharuto (Bernhard Lang), a native of Regensburg and a master of the art of sushi, has been delighting diners with fine Japanese cuisine for over 25 years. He has also been our guest here in Berching on several occasions—and his sushi cooking parties have become some of our most popular evenings. It’s all the more wonderful that we’re kicking off the new year in January with our first sushi cooking party and can once again welcome Berunharuto to the Engelwirt.

After a formative stay in Tokyo, where he further honed his skills under the guidance of renowned sushi masters, Berunharuto is once again bringing his experience, precision, and passion to our kitchen. Look forward to first-class sushi and delicate Japanese bites, freshly prepared live on-site. We’ve deliberately kept our kitchen party simple: no set seating arrangements, just a relaxed and casual atmosphere—dine in the lounge, the dining room, or right in the kitchen. And if you’d like, you can watch Berunharuto prepare the dishes, strike up a conversation, and sample them fresh off the cutting board.
